'Yeah, he will leave' – Fabrizio Romano confirms Tottenham player will leave the club this summer

Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Tottenham midfielder will leave the club this summer.

The French midfielder, who joined Galatasaray on a season-long loan deal in September last year, has failed to impress the Turkish side, leading to them opting against signing him on a permanent deal, as reported by the Turkish media recently.

And now, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, speaking on the Chris Cowlin Podcast on YouTube, has claimed that Ndombele will leave Tottenham at the end of the season.

Romano confirms Tanguy Ndombele will leave Tottenham

The renowned transfer expert, speaking on the Chris Cowlin Podcast on YouTube, claimed that Ndombele is one of the players who will definitely leave the club this summer.

The midfielder’s contract with his parent club, Spurs, is due to expire in less than 18 months, ending in June of the following year.

Romano suggests that while it’s still early to determine specific destinations, Ndombele’s exit from Tottenham is likely.

He hints at potential opportunities in Europe or even in different markets for the 27-year-old midfielder.

He said:

“Yeah, he [Ndombele] will leave, uh, he will leave, that’s the idea obviously. I think this is one to follow in the summer because at the moment it’s still early to understand if there will be some opportunity in Europe or maybe to look at different markets, that’s also a possibility.

“But yes, I think outgoings are always important not just for Tottenham but for all the clubs around the world. It’s crucial to sell players at the right moment, so not just Ndombele, I think they can look for some opportunity for some players.”

Since he arrived from Lyon in 2019, he has failed to meet expectations and live up to the hefty transfer fee of €63 million, featuring in 91 matches for Spurs and registering 10 goals along with 9 assists.

The Lilywhites will aim to offload Ndombele at the end of the season. Should they fail to find a buyer, the French international could depart the club for free next summer.
