Real Madrid fullback Dani Carvajal says the home support was key to victory over Almeria.

An injury-time winner from Carvajal saw Real triumph 3-2 on Sunday.

He later said: "It was a very bad first half and, nowadays, if you waste a half it can be costly. The opposition got two goals against us, but from the break we went all out and thanks to our fans and everyone's commitment we managed to get the win.

"I would have preferred to have won in a more comfortable manner, but this speaks of what this badge, this stadium and our history are all about: believing until the end. We said it at half-time, that anything could happen until the last minute.

"Thanks to all the fans, who drove us all the way through the second half. We dedicate the win to them.

"The ball fell to me in the middle of the pitch. I moved forward, I opened up for Brahim, I take the man and he put it in. I got there with everything I had, with the last bit of energy I had left, and I managed to put it in."
