Watch: Shohei Ohtani homers twice as Dodgers sweep Braves

Shohei Ohtani has been everything the Los Angeles Dodgers could have hoped for when they signed him to a $700M contract this offseason. He continued his great start to the season on Sunday afternoon in a 5-1 win over the Atlanta Braves, going 4-for-4 with two home runs. The victory gave the Dodgers a sweep of the weekend series.

It was Ohtani's first four-hit game as a member of the Dodgers and also his first two-homer showing with his new club. The second home run was an absolute monster of a 464-foot blast to left center field that went deep into the bleachers. Have a look.

Here is a look at his first home run from earlier in the day.

Those two long balls gave him 10 on the season, putting Ohtani on top of the National League leaderboard.

His four hits also brought his average up to .364, a mark which has him tied with Philadelphia Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm going into Sunday night (Bohn and the Phillies play Sunday night).

Something that is worth keeping an eye on here is that along with leading the league in average and home runs, Ohtani is only five RBI off the lead, making him an early season contender for the triple crown. He is already widely regarded as one of the best players of his era and arguably all-time given his two-way dominance as a hitter and pitcher.

If he could make a serious push at the triple crown or perhaps even win it, it would only add to his already incredible resume in the major leagues.
